Special Interest Tour to Bhutan

Bird Watching

Bird Watching

The journey starts in Phajoding, Thimphu. Expect to be enchanted by the sight of rhododendron-covered hills and rainbow alpine lakes. Take in the town of Thimphu from above. Savor the stroll through pristine woods of juniper and fir. Learn about the areas where tigers and snow leopards share habitat. Recognize the types of alpine flowers and medicinal plants.

Ospreys, wadders, and a variety of ducks, snow pigeons, rose finches, and accentors are among the various bird species observed. In addition, you can see sunbirds, warblers, yuhinas, minivets, and barbets. Ravens, Himalayan Griffons, and Vultures can be seen at high elevations, but the blue-whistling Thrush, chattering yellow-billed Magpies, choughs, and many other birds are more frequently seen.

Rafting and Kayaking

Rafting and Kayaking

With the bigger, more powerful, and immensely more difficult rivers in the Eastern region still completely undiscovered and untamed, rafting is still relatively new in Bhutan. It has the potential to offer some of the world's best rafting, according to those who have scouted the rivers. The Punakha region (Mo Chhu & Pho Chhu) is the primary location for rafting and kayaking.

Meditation

Meditation

The core of the Buddhist way of life is meditation. In essence, it is a technique for comprehending and improving our own minds. Anyone can benefit much from learning the fundamentals of meditation, but in order to advance beyond them, one must have faith in the Three Jewels: Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha. People typically discover that this happens on its own as they reap the rewards of their meditation practice. At the Taktshang Monastery campsite, Yatara Adventure will offer the chance to reflect and practice meditation. Given that Guru Rimpoche is rumored to have meditated in 747 AD and visited several of the holy places for meditation, this is an incredible chance.

Mountain Bicycle

Mountain Bicycle

The popularity of mountain riding among Bhutanese is growing quickly. Long trips are difficult due to the numerous uphill pedals and oncoming cars around corners. In the Paro, Thimphu, and Bumthang valleys, local cycling excursions provide a less demanding and safer alternative to mountain biking. In Phobjikha and Punakha, several routes have been created specifically for this purpose.

Textile Tour

Textile Tour

The most traditional and practical goods available in Bhutan are hand-woven fabrics. Handwoven fabrics are available in handicraft stores, regular fabric stores, and the Kaling Hand Loop Project in eastern Bhutan. The National Textile Museum is another place you can visit. Yatharas are stretches of coarse wool fabric that can be stitched together to create blankets, scarves, and sweaters. Zungney in the Chhume valley of Bumthang is the greatest location to shop for Yatharas.
