-Taktshang Monastery. Lunch at Taktsang tea house with its spectacular view of the famous monastery.

-Views in all directions – the Haa Valley, Taktsang Goenpa, the Paro valley. Lunch at hotel. Afternoon drive to Thimphu, the capital of Bhutan.

-Visit the National Library to see some unique and historic books. Our books are not hardbound in the typical manner. Next the traditional Painting School and then the Traditional Paper Factory. After lunch, souvenir shopping or more touring, as you wish.

-Day excursion tothe Phajoding Monasterybuilt by Phajo Drugom Zhigpo.

-An excursion to Kuenga Rabten, an ancestral home of the Royal Family.

-Visit the the Trongsa Dzong(Fortress).

-Visiting holy sites: monasteries and dzongs in Bumthang, including Jambay Lhakhang, Tamzhing Monastery and Kuenchosum Lhakhang After lunch you will visit the Jakar Dzong known as the “Fortress of the White Bird.â€

-Full day at the Kurjey Tshechu festival; enjoy festivities in and around the monastery

Day 01: Arrive Paro
Day 2: Walk/hike to Tiger’s Nest
Day 3: In the morning, hike to the Kila Goenpa
Day 4: Thimphu fulldays sightseeing
Day 5: Day excursion to the 13th century Phajoding Monastery
Day 6: Morning drive from Thimphu to Punakha
Day 7: Drive to Trongsa with a stop at Chendebji Chorten
Day 8: Trongsa sightseeing and drive to Bumthang
Day 9: Sightseeing in Bumthang
Day 10: Full day at the Kurjey Tshechu festival; enjoy festivities in and around the monastery.
Day 11: drive through Trongsa back to Wangdi.
Day 12: Drive from Wangdi to Paro via Dochu Pass and Thimphu.
